This is, after all, a camping-ground, so I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised that a circle of tents sprang up last evening, like mushrooms after a rain. And a holiday weekend (Whitsuntide) is upon us, so I am staying put until Monday I think. Bus schedules will be affected by the weekend and the holiday.
Tent camping is a popular thing here, especially with young couples and young families, likely because it suits their budgets. There is a small playground, with swings and a whirl-around, that is very popular with the toddlers. The cars they arrive in all have CZ license plates.
In addition there is a separate section where caravans are parked for the season: compact trailer-type RVs with nice roller awnings. Since gas here is over $8 a gallon, it makes sense to leave the things in one place!
